SALT LAKE CITY — Right now, Utah is shining in the culinary world.

Several Utahns have been selected from a pool of just 18 students in the country to receive the 2025 US Foods Scholars Award. The four Utah students will get $20,000 scholarships, along with professional development opportunities.

The program said they were selected for their talent, academic achievement and commitment to culinary careers.

Per the press release, here are the four Utah scholarship recipients:

Allie Harris, a culinary arts major at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Hometown: Springville, Utah.

Diana Madariaga, a culinary arts major at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Hometown: Midvale, Utah.

Keri Okeson, a culinary arts major at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Hometown: West Valley City,
