OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Ouachita Parish School Board officials say they have a zero tolerance policy on bullying, and when an incident is reported, they investigate immediately.

While the policy is limited regarding bullying after hours, such as through social media, if it is school related, officials say they address it. They also say depending on the level of the threat, they may contact law enforcement.

Chief of Operations for Ouachita Parish Schools, Orlando Freemont says, “When the threats are more specific and school related, when they say I’m going to do this to you at school, I’m coming tomorrow to do this to you at school or at the bus stop or something that ties in the school to the threat - at that time we try to get involved to prevent it.”
