Kurt Russell delivered one of the most iconic speeches in sports movie history in the hockey film "Miracle."

Russell, acting as 1980 U.S. Olympic men's hockey coach Herb Brooks, said, "Great moments are born from great opportunity."

High school football teams across the Kanawha Valley and West Virginia are putting together final preparations to create moments that could lead to state titles.

We'll see how much those preparations will work out when the season kicks off statewide on Thursday.
