Crash causes nearly stopped traffic on Long Bridge near Sandpoint

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho -- If you're driving near Sandpoint on Wednesday afternoon, you might end up sitting in traffic for a while.

Around 4 p.m. on August 27, Bonner County Sheriff's Office said drivers should avoid the Long Bridge, which stretches over the Pend Oreille River and connects Sandpoint and Sagle, due to a crash.

According to Idaho Transportation Department, as of 4:45 p.m., traffic on either side of the bridge is nearly stopped.

No information about the crash or when traffic is expected to flow normally has been provided.
