Things got chippy at the US Open.
Taylor Townsend defeated Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets 7-5, 6-1 at Flushing Meadows, but it's what happened afterwards that stole the spotlight.
When the two players went to shake hands, Ostapenko seemingly started to pop off right in front of Townsend's face.
The Latvian star was displeased by Townsend's actions after the win and was visibly upset with her, causing quite the colorful scene.
The two got into a heated shouting match, to which Townsend quickly dismissed.
The American star proceeded to walk over to the crowd and raise her fists to fire them up. She clearly wasn't fazed by what Ostapenko had to say.
