SOUTH PRAIRIE, N.D. (KMOT) - 2024 was a year of firsts for South Prairie-Max volleyball: first region title, first state appearance and first wins at the state tournament. With a new head coach and new senior leadership, the Royals look to maintain their presence at the top.

After steadily climbing up the ranks year after year in Class B Region 6, South Prairie-Max volleyball turned the corner.

“For South Prairie, we’ve known we have the potential,” said senior Abby Mikkelson.

In 2025, it’s all about continuing to progress.

“We’ve been working on a lot of ball control and working as a team, and I think we’re going to have really good chemistry here,” said senior Skotti Beck.

The Royals have a new head coach this year in Lisa McQueen.
