LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the Department of Agriculture and the Northwest Arkansas Council will conduct a comprehensive water reclamation study.
According to a press release from the governor's office, the purpose of the study is to inform the Arkansas Water Plan and guide future wastewater infrastructure improvements and investments throughout Northwest Arkansas.
The release says the study will be conducted by Hawkins-Weir Engineers, who will evaluate the infrastructure in Northwest Arkansas and give recommendations for improvements, as the population in Northwest Arkansas continues to grow.
