Archie Banks

A man has been accused of carjacking women twice recently in Naperville and Warrenville.

Archie Banks, 63, of the 1500 block of Westminster Drive, Naperville, is accused of a carjacking at 2:07 p.m. Monday at a BP gasoline station at 1983 Brookdale Drive.

He also is accused of an Aug. 20 carjacking in the 27700 block of Diehl Road in Warrenville.

Authorities say that in Warrenville, around 9:20 a.m. a woman was eating a snack in her vehicle while taking a break from work. Banks is accused of opening a driver’s side door, taking her phone off her hand and pointing a pistol at her head. Authorities say he held a blue plastic bag and told the victim that if she said anything he would kill her.

He then got into the car and ordered her to drive to Bond Street, then ordered her
