Like the Cheshire Cat in "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," the Democratic Party in Oklahoma seems to be fading away.
Voter registration numbers from the Oklahoma State Election Board show a drop of more than 7% since the first of the year, from 658,136 on Jan. 15 to 609,897 on July 15. That 49,000-person decline is the equivalent of losing a city the size of Stillwater.
