Two people died after a collision on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 30 in Boucherville, Montérégie. Four other people were also injured, but their lives are not believed to be in danger.
Emergency services were called to kilometer 82 of Highway 30 to respond to a collision involving several vehicles.
According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Élizabeth Marquis-Guy, it appears that the heavy vehicle was unable to brake due to slow traffic.
Highway 30 is currently completely closed to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
