It’s finally here.

The 2025 prep football season has arrived. Just about all other fall sports have already begun competition, and Week 1 high school football games will be played Thursday through Saturday across the state of Michigan.

It’s a great time of year and optimism never rings louder than at the start of the fall prep sports season.

“We worked hard this offseason, in the weight room, in 7-on7s, team bonding…” Yada yada yada.

Let’s play football. It’s time to put up or shut up.

In terms of big games to start off the season, several Macomb County schools will dive right in with big-time tests and try to get off on the right foot.
