EAST LANSING — An NCAA investigation released earlier this month found that infamous Michigan sign-stealer Connor Stalions was, in fact, on the sideline of 2023’s game between Central Michigan and Michigan State .

As part of a media roundtable held Wednesday in East Lansing, Michigan State athletic director J Batt said his office is monitoring the situation.

“Certainly there’s parts of this that are under contract, right?” Batt said. “But paying close attention to the ongoing investigation. … I’ll just say at the end of the day, we’re going to do what’s best for Michigan State, and that’ll be the North Star.”

Michigan State has two guarantee games scheduled with Central Michigan: Sept. 11, 2027 and Aug. 31, 2033. Those games are under the same contract as the game Stalions illegally a
