A sixth person has been arrested in connection with a 2024 case where a woman was left paralyzed after getting caught in a crossfire.
Cheslea Jackson, of Prattville, has been charged with one count of assault first degree and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, said District Attorney Azzie Oliver.
On April 12, 2024, Amy Dicks was in her car along Atlanta Highway near the Eastdale Circle access when she was caught in the crossfire of multiple guns being fired, Oliver said. Oliver said the investigation remains ongoing, and more arrests are likely to come.
