The Trump administration has asked the Supreme Court to quickly step into a legal challenge over billions of dollars in funding for the U.S. Agency for International Development and other foreign assistance funds.
The emergency application filed late Tuesday argues that administrative action at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has left the government in limbo just ahead of the Sept. 30 end of the fiscal year.
