Nearly 30 years after his playing days at Millard North, Eric Crouch is commemorated with a street named after him.
Friends, family, former coaches and teachers came to celebrate the Heisman winner.
Cheers erupted from dozens gathered at Millard North to celebrate the legacy of Eric Crouch, who went from a kid playing high school football to a Husker legend and Heisman Trophy winner.
"This street, Eric, will stand as a lasting tribute to your extraordinary contributions, and we are exceedingly proud to honor you here tonight with this unveiling celebration," said retired Millard North principal Brian Begley.
Crouch's old high school coach Fred Petito spoke about how the quarterback's work ethic set him apart from the rest.
