The Powerball jackpot has climbed again, nearing $1 billion dollars after the sixth-largest prize in game history remained unclaimed on Wednesday.

Wednesday's drawing had an estimated grand prize of $850 million.

But instead of a grand prize winner, the drawing produced half a dozen new millionaires.

Tickets in Arizona, New York and Virginia all won $1 million off of the drawing, guessing all five white ball numbers correctly. Another three players, in Mississippi, Ohio and another in Virginia, did the same but bought the additional Power Play option to double their winnings.

Wednesday’s Powerball drawing was the 38th since the jackpot was last won in California on May 31, 2025.
