EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - It was only week one, but the Owensboro Catholic Aces 23-17 defeat of Bowling Green will go down as one of the biggest wins of the year.
“It felt great. Overall, it was a great team win, we were prepared for that all week. I feel like that was one of the bigger games on our schedule, and we prepared very well, and we will keep doing that from now on,” said Junior Quarterback Dre’mail Carothers.
The Aces have been dominant in the regular season in past years, going undefeated in 2024, but a win against an opponent of this caliber, it stands out.
“This senior class has played so many experiences in big games, that they just finally knew what it took and got over the edge,” said Head Coach Jason Morris.
Caden Conkright, one of those veteran seniors, played an ins
