As of Thursday, Aug. 28, the moon phase is Waxing Crescent, and 25% will be lit up to us on Earth, according to NASA's Daily Moon Observation .
The moon is finally bright and big enough for us to spot some interesting features on its surface. With no visual aids, look to the top right (bottom left if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) to see the Mare Crisium and the Mare Fecunditatis. With binoculars or a telescope, you'll also get a glimpse of
