A day after the New York Giants cut quarterback Tommy DeVito, the New England Patriots claimed him off waivers .

A fan favorite in New York, DeVito will try to win over Patriots Nation. His agent, Sean Stellato, spoke exclusively with NBC10 Boston hours after the move.

"Anytime you get cut and go undrafted, it's about proving yourself, and he's excited to get to work," Stellato said. "He brings a different moxie to the locker room and to the organization, and he relates to a lot of the fans — he was undrafted, he hasn't had any handouts." Julian Edelman believes Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson could be the “steal of the draft.”
