Cool weather continues in the Philadelphia area Thursday morning, with temperatures starting in the 50s to near 60 degrees.

Overnight we saw some spots in the Poconos dip into the 40s in our western areas. With the very dry air in place, temps will climb back into the upper 70s Thursday afternoon, even hitting 80 in spots around the Philly area.

We did have some clouds stream in from the southwest overnight, but those will give way as we get into the afternoon and allow for more sunshine.

While high pressure will be the dominating weather feature over the next couple days, by Thursday night, a cold front will start to approach the region from the northwest.

The front on Thursday evening and Friday may bring a stray shower or two, but no significantly impactful weather is expected. T
