LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Data was stolen from Nevada systems by “malicious actors,” and state investigators are working with the FBI to determine the extent of the breach and the nature of the theft.
A Carson City press conference Wednesday afternoon came as state services were interrupted for a third day due to the cyberattack.
Officials from the governor’s office said the outage began Sunday morning when the state was targeted in a cyberattack . Timothy Galluzi, Executive Director of the Governor’s Technology Office, stated that the attack was ransomware-based.
