The people of southwestern Pennsylvania retain at least some trust in a number of institutions, particularly scientists, nonprofit organizations, the military, religious leaders and public school officials. But none were trusted by a majority of respondents to do the right thing “a great deal.” Only one group, the military, was trusted to do the right thing “a great deal” by even 40% of respondents.
That was one finding of the RealClearPolitics Institute of News & Information’s new project, partnering with Emerson Polling. The poll sampled over 1,500 residents in mid-July and has an error margin of +/- 2.4%.
