Northern Michigan schools fared well in the latest round of U.S. News & World Report's high school rankings , with multiple local schools cracking the state's top 100.

Both Charlevoix High School and Petoskey High School ranked among the top 100 high schools in Michigan, out of a total 1,136 in the state. They landed at 43 and 87, respectively.
