ROCHESTER — It’s been 35 years since Andy Jackson was a junior quarterback on the last Spaulding High School football team that won a championship — a 28-21 victory over Trinity in the 1990 Class L title game.
After years coaching his now-sophomore son, Connor, through youth leagues and middle school, Jackson is taking over as the head man at his alma mater. He spent last year as an assistant on Spaulding’s 2-7 team under former coach Dan Hodsdon, who stepped down after one season.
