LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman is in the hospital Thursday morning after she was found shot in her car on the side of I-65.
Louisville Police were responding to a call of a vehicle collision on I-65 near Grade Lane just after 3:45 a.m. on Aug. 28. When officers arrived and located the vehicle, they found a woman who’d been shot.
She was conscious and was taken to UofL Hospital where she underwent surgery. She is expected to survive.
LMPD said it won’t be able to get the details of the incident until the woman recovers from surgery.
Traffic on I-65 has been diverted to exit 131. Drivers will be able to get on the Watterson Expressway or Preston Highway.
