Lehigh Township loses police chief, department undergoes external study after $1.7M settlement

The Lehigh Township Police Department is getting an overhaul following a $1.7 million civil settlement last year with a former officer.

Several months ago, the Northampton County municipality paid SafeCity Solutions $17,000 to review the department’s policies and procedures, according to township Manager Alice Rehrig.
