SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Scattered severe storms are expected in the ArkLaTex starting in the northern half of the ArkLaTex in the afternoon moving into the southern half of the region tonight. These storms could bring severe weather threats such as flash flooding, hail, and strong winds. The tornado threat however is very low. The morning starts off with mostly sunny skies before the storms roll in later. High temperatures crank up into the mid 90’s for most of us in the afternoon. The morning begins in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.

More widespread severe storms persist into Friday. These storms however happen in the morning hours starting in the overnight hours all the way thru lunch time. Storms should fade away through the early afternoon hours leading into a partly cloudy afternoon
