BLOOMINGTON ― It took no time at all for Ian Quick to start adding his name to the long legacy of Bloomington South linebackers.
Starting off working the outside as a freshman and sophomore, he was switched to an inside spot last year. There was a learning curve, but those who came before him provided the blueprint. He just had to put his own individual spin on it.
By the end of the year, he was the Panthers' leading tackler and was named Class 5A Junior All-State by the Indiana Football Coaches Association. Ben Godar, Ralph Rogers, Dasan McCullough and Ethan Hensley are the most recent South backers to earn state-wide recognition.
