Edge rushing superstar Micah Parsons was traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, a move that affects the Detroit Lions in two ways.

For starters, it strengthens a division rival. Parsons, 26, is one of the top edge rushers in the game, and his reported four-year, $188 million contract extension with Green Bay reflects that. He’s averaged over 13 sacks per season since entering the league in 2021 and has led or been tied for the league lead in pressures (per Pro Football Focus) in two of his four seasons.
