WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Turnpike has reopened following a closure Thursday morning due to flooding.
Drivers were being diverted off the turnpike in the northbound lanes at U.S. 160.
The closure did not affect southbound traffic.
Weather played a role in a head-on crash involving two vehicles in the area where traffic was being diverted.
The crash happened west of Belle Plaine at 90th and Meridian.
Two people were hospitalized with minor injuries.
