Motorcyclist killed in crash near Buc

RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - A motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Madison County.

According to the Richmond Police Department, the crash involving the motorcycle and another vehicle happened on Duncannon Lane, near the entrance to Buc-ee’s off Interstate 75 at Exit 83.

Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. He has been identified as 72-year-old William Lawson of Richmond.

Richmond Police Chief Rodney Richardson says the department’s collision reconstruction unit was called to the scene.

The roadways in the area were closed but have since reopened.
