LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Two people have been taken to the hospital after a semi crashed and caught on fire on I-94 in LaPorte County.

Indiana State Police say the semi crashed into the median and burst into flames.

The driver and a passenger were hurt. There’s no word yet on their conditions at this time.

It’s unclear if there were any other vehicles involved in this crash.

Officials say the westbound lanes of I-94 are still closed but the eastbound lanes are back open.
