(WHTM) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of more than 700,000 pressure washers due to a projectile hazard.

According to CPSC, approximately 764,000 RYOBI Electric Pressure Washers have been recalled because the capacitor can overheat and burst, causing parts to be forcefully ejected, which poses a risk of serious injury to the user or bystander.

To date, TTI Outdoor Power Equipment has received 135 reports of capacitors overheating.

This includes 41 reports of explosions, which resulted in 32 injuries and/or fractures to fingers, hands, face, and eyes.
