AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A K9 sniffed out some armed teenagers who were hiding in a hole after running from law enforcement, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said.
It all unfolded around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Rosier Road and Eric Court near Salem Arms.
Two deputies were involved in the initial pursuit, and another deputy and a K9 responded to help.
COVID cases reported among Richmond County students
The Richmond County School System says there are some reports of COVID cases among students.
The K9, named Gajes, made short work of finding the suspects. The dog led deputies to a ravine, where deputies found the two suspects hiding in a hole, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
The young men, ages 14 and 16, were arrested and taken to the Youth Development
