A deal that would have seen an Oklahoma rancher buy the company that owns the Oklahoma National Stockyards is not moving forward and questions surround what happens next with the last surviving large terminal operation in the United States.

An investment group led by Chris Franklin, a rancher and investor, confirmed in May his desire to buy the stockyards and maintain cattle sales.
