Telluride has announced its annual selection of films to play in the Rockies and they include Noah Baumbach’s Venice entry Jay Kelly , as well as Cannes picks Urchin from Harris Dickinson, and Joachim Trier’s grand prize winner Sentimental Value .
The festival also brings first looks from Chloé Zhao’s TIFF-bound Hamnet, Aneil Karia’s Hamlet starring Riz Ahmed, Mary Bronstein’s Sundance hit If I Had Legs I’d Kick You featuring a career-best performance from Rose Byrne, and both Richard Linklater films Blue Moon and Nouvelle Vague.
Tessa Ross, the House Productions co-founder and former head of film and drama at Channel 4, will receive the Special Medallion at the presentation of Ballad Of A Small Player .
The festival runs August 29-September 1.
