Keeping booze out of a west-end home might be best, a judge says, after a woman assaulted her intimate partner earlier this year when she was drinking.
Tracy Calting pleaded guilty to assault on Thursday.

A man told police he was bitten on the right wrist by Catling on March 19, said assistant Crown attorney Blair Hagan. The assault happened during an argument when she had been drinking. The man told police Catling also bit him on the left arm when alcohol was consumed about two weeks earlier. He was also punched in February.
Ontario Court Justice Danalyn MacKinnon accepted a joint position from Hagan and Catling, who did not have a lawyer. Catling was given a conditional discharge. She’ll be on probation for 12 months. Catling has to get counselling for alcohol abus
