LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A water main break under Asher & University in Little Rock led to a wide and deep pothole for motorists on Thursday.
Central Arkansas Water staff and equipment are on-scene making repairs. The intersection is closed as of mid-morning.
CAW Communications Director Heide Harrell said the break occurred in a 12-inch line that had already been approved for replacement by the board of commissioners.
“Clearly it did not last as long as we hoped,” Harrell said.
The break damaged no vehicles, he said.
Repair crews are on the scene working to implement a temporary fix. CAW officials said the repair is putting 28 customers without water, and they were unsure how long it would take to complete the temporary fix.
