KILLINGLY, Conn — A woman died from injuries suffered in a Killingly house fire earlier this month. The fire prompted an investigation involving the Fire and Explosives Investigative Unit, or FEIU.
Connecticut State Police said Kathy Samuelson, 75, of Killingly, died of her injuries.
Connecticut State Police said troopers from Troop D went to Hartford Pike in Killingly at 1:30 p.m. on August 7 for a residential structure fire.
Officials said everyone got out of the home, but a woman was seriously hurt and flown by LIFESTAR helicopter to the hospital.
“We had a patient inside of the building, she was in the rear of the occupancy. She was severely burned. We were able to get her out on the first floor. Upon arrival, we had heavy fire coming out of every floor," said Deputy Chief Nate K
