UGG fans have been left divided after the company announced they would be changing their iconic name. These winter boots have long been a popular choice in the colder months among shoppers thanks to their fleece lining and durability. However, the brand has been locked in a dispute with American company Deckers Outdoor Corporation over their name since 2016, a battle the latter has finally won. ‌

As a result the Australian company, founded by Sydney couple Arthur and Faye Springthorpe, will be "dropping those three little letters" and will now go by the name 'Since 1974', leaving fans divided. The founders' grandson, Todd Watts, shared the news in an announcement on TikTok. ‌
