OLD SAYBROOK, CT (WFSB) - Dolphins appeared in Long Island Sound this week.
Channel 3 viewer Al recorded video of what looked like a pod breaching the water near the jetty in Old Saybrook.
The video was sent in to the WFSB News App on Wednesday.
Earlier this month, Patch reported that about 100 dolphins were spotted in the Sound near Greenwich.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said the Sound is occasionally visited by dolphins , porpoises and whales.
DEEP said it is illegal to touch, feed, disturb, harass, capture, or kill marine mammals.
