NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) - A father accused of killing his 11-month-old daughter back in 2022 turned down a plea deal on Thursday.

Christopher Francisquini’s deal was for 40 years in prison with a chance for his attorney to argue it down to 35 years, according to prosecutors.

A judge told Francisquini that the deal is now off the table and he will go to trial.

Francisquini spent nearly two weeks on the run from Naugatuck police in Nov. 2022 after they said he killed his daughter Camilla.

According to investigators, he got into a fight with his father and his girlfriend. That’s what led up to the baby’s strangulation and stabbing.

He was caught by multiple law enforcement agencies, including Naugatuck police and the FBI, at a bus stop in Waterbury.

Francisquini could face life in prison
