Patrick Bamford has reached a mutual agreement with Leeds United that will see him released from his contract a year early.
The striker, who made 205 appearances for the Whites, was told by Daniel Farke on the second day of pre-season that he would not be part of his Premier League plans, and he was subsequently left out of the summer touring squad.
His number nine shirt has since been taken up by new recruit Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Bamford leaves after seven seasons at Elland Road, which included two Championship titles and 60 goals coupled with 25 assists.
However, he had not hit double figures since firing home 17 goals in the 2020/21 season, and the years since were blighted by injury setbacks. He only played 325 minutes of football last season as a result.
