A chase driver stopped under a freeway overpass Thursday at the end of a pursuit that went off-road in East Los Angeles.

The pursuit began after a report of a reckless driver and continued on freeways and streets in the area east of downtown Los Angeles. The driver went over a median and turn off the 5 Freeway onto a dirt path under a network of freeway overpasses.

The driver stopped under the busy interchange and, after a brief search, was taken into custody.
