KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City woman pleaded guilty Thursday for her role in a Paycheck Protection Plan scheme.

Forty-two-year-old Rasheda McDaniel pled guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.

Court documents revealed McDaniel and co-defendant Briauna Adams used another person’s name to submit an online application for a COVID-19 relief PPP loan.

The loan application listed the business with gross receipts of $147,412, and a net income of $98,562, despite the business having zero taxable income.

McDaniel’s co-defendant pled guilty to multiple fraud charges in May and awaits sentencing. McDaniel faces up to 22 years in prison without parole.
