Brady Heidebrink, a sixth-grade student at Northwood Elementary School, loves sports.
A member of the school’s football and basketball teams, Brady said he is looking forward to the start of the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge in September.
“I like gym and sports so it should be fun,” Brady said. “I already try to eat healthy, but sometimes I do have treats. I just don’t think it will be too hard to get to the gold medal.”
Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel visited Northwood Elementary School Thursday on his final stop of his statewide, multischool tour to launch his 90-day challenge for fourth through eighth graders.
Mr. Tressel said approximately 170,000 students in 600 public, private, and charter schools across the state have signed up to take part in the initial program.
