BEAUMONT, Texas — Bond has been set for a 46-year-old man who was arrested after Beaumont police say he stabbed a person during a physical confrontation near downtown Beaumont.
Jesse Griffin was arrested Thursday and his bond was set at $40,000.
Beaumont Police Department officers responded to a call around 10:38 a.m. regarding a stabbing in the 500 block of Center Street.
When officers arrived, they found Griffin, and arrested him. The victim was found in the 500 block of Forrest Street.
Emergency medical services took the injured man to a nearby hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Surveillance footage shows Griffin approached the victim and initiated a physical confrontation, according to police. During the altercation, Griffin stabbed the man with a knife.
