BATON ROUGE, La. (KALB) - Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is joining a bipartisan coalition of 44 state attorneys general demanding that major artificial intelligence companies end predatory and harmful interactions between AI chatbots and children.

In a strongly worded letter , the coalition called out companies including Anthropic, Apple, Chai AI, Google, Luka Inc., Meta, Microsoft, Nomi AI, OpenAI, Perplexity AI, Replika, and xAI.

The letter cites troubling reports that AI chatbots have engaged in sexually inappropriate conversations with children, encouraged dangerous behavior, and even suggested acts of violence, including suicide and murder.
