FENNER, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- A two-vehicle crash resulted in one death in the Town of Fenner.

State Police responded to a call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Oxbow Road and Mile Strip Road in the Town of Fenner at around 11:20 a.m. on Aug. 28.

The initial investigation found that a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox driven by an 82-year-old woman from Oneida failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and was subsequently struck by a 2019 Freightliner box truck.

The woman, who was the only one in her car, died at the scene. The box truck was operated by a 22-year-old man from West Winfield. He reportedly was not injured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
