GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Pointing to sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s, the Nebraska State Fair said the weather conditions contributed to a 19% increase in attendance through the first five days compared to last year.
In a press release, the fair said 154,464 people went to the fair Friday through Tuesday, fueled in part by “some of the best weather the fair has seen in years.”
Saturday’s count was more than 53,000, the release said, a 23% increase over the first Saturday in 2024. The release also showed that fair-goers spent an average of six hours at the fair through opening weekend.
